One-Act Plays*
Serial - A comedy in one act about five notorious serial killers at a coffee shop in the great beyond discussing the issue of quantity vs. quality. This play was originally produced in 2007 at the Minnesota Fringe Festival by the Zealots + Mystics theatre company.
Jerry's Funky-Chicken Death March - A comedy in one act about a rag-tag group of destitute individuals deciding whether or not committing group suicide is a punishable offense in the subjective eyes of a "maker." Now with alternate-ending-goodness!
The Bull, the Bear, the Lion, & the Lamb - A drama in one act. This is a new play and has not been work- shopped. See production notes below, but also know that I am open to changes and/or discussion prior to production of the play.
*If you choose to produce one of these plays, please take note of two things:
These are not published anywhere but this site, so please email me directly for info about royalties.
I am more than happy to work with producers and directors to make changes depending on the circumstances of your particular production. Contact me prior to making changes.
Creative Writing
I also dabble in random musings that really have no purpose but to pass the time. Sometimes, the story is interesting, so I hammer it out into a slightly more realized form than your usual blog post. Here's one to start with. I'll post more as I'm able to dig them out of the archives.
Tribulation & Superheroes - Seriously, with very few exceptions, this story actually played out in a dream I had. Yes, it's a little screwed up in places, but that's what I liked about it. I fleshed out the details to make it less like an acid flashback, but you decide. It's a working version, and I'm in dialogue with a possible illustrator, so stay tuned.
Non-Fiction
Over the past year, I've been compiling information, and pounding out my experiences in book form. I know, everyone's writing a book. I'll post chapters as I edit and review, though please note that this is very much a work-in-progress, and very well may change. It's tentatively called Why Should I Help You?: Class Warfare on the Customer Service Phone Lines. This week's installment is the Introduction and 1st chapter. Enjoy at your leisure.
